SUPPORTING LOCAL INSTRUCTORS DURING LOCKDOWN

There is an abundance of online offerings right now - many from big global brands but we are urging you to support your local fitness instructor or PT who is doing it tough just trying to make ends meet.

Most fitness professionals are self employed and during lockdown with gyms closed, teaching online is their only income source.

We will be profiling instructors to help you choose so you can keep physically fit and support your mental health during these difficult times of COVID lockdown.

HANNAH CHAUDHRI

has been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles both in academia and recreationally. She has a passion for making people feel good and smile.

Hannah has spent the majority of her career as a Sports, Health Science and Fitness lecturer and assessor in College and University Centre Education. After years of boring training days with uninspiring presentations on health and wellbeing, she decided in 2019 to combine all of her knowledge and create her own business - Ananda Health and Wellbeing

Throughout her career in Education Hannah has always taught studio fitness classes and personal trained clients. In 2018 she chose to follow her cultural roots and trained as a Yoga teacher.

Ananda Health and Wellbeing offers staff wellbeing workshops, talks and training days covering a variety of topics and alongside this, Hannah offers classes from her bespoke yoga studio, in the community and virtually.

In her free time alongside her love of exercise she enjoys reading and is an aspiring public speaker and writer.

"Covid-19 has certainly changed my life as a teacher who’s all about connecting with energy and people… In 24 hours I took my studio timetable onto the Zoom platform that I’d never heard of, and thankfully after so many years of teaching I was able to translate all of those skills on screen. I do miss the human connection, but am so happy I can continue to bring health and fitness classes and training workshops to people when they need it the most”

Hannah currently teaches Yoga and Fitness classes via zoom and is always happy to welcome new faces onscreen. The schedule changes each month based on demand and pandemic restrictions in the U.K. You can find out more on the Ananda Health & Wellbeing website or social media
